The universe started with the Big Bang around 13.7 billion years ago - unless our universe is merely one part of a multiverse, in which case we really don't have a clue about reality.
I did not exist from the start of the universe until the year 1945 when I was born (although I could be wrong). And today, I estimate that with any luck I will live a couple or more decades. The universe will continue after I am gone, and I will not be coming back (although I could be wrong). The frustrating question: what does it all mean?
What caused the Big Bang? What happened before the Big Bang? If time began with the Big Bang, then the concept of “before the Big Bang” has no meaning.
So, like the vast majority of mankind overwhelmed by ignorance, I formed an opinion anyway.
